Check Holds

A check hold denotes a period of time equal to the maximum number of days that a financial institution can legally hold the money from a check that was deposited. After this time it must credit the funds to the account of the party making the deposit. Some extended check holds are applied when members open a new account or deposit a check of a high dollar amount. For more information see theĀ Members 1st Hold Policy.
