How to Order Checks from Members 1st Credit Union
At Members 1st Credit Union, we make it easy for you to order checks for your checking, money market, or Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) accounts. Whether you're placing your first order or reordering checks, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process.
Ordering Checks for the First Time
If this is your first time ordering checks, you’ll need to place your initial order through the credit union, in person or on the phone. Once your first order is processed, you will be able to reorder checks conveniently through Digital Banking.
How to Place Your First Order:
- Visit a Members 1st Credit Union branch or call us at (530) 222-6060.
- Speak with a representative who will guide you through the available check styles, quantity options, and pricing.
- Confirm your shipping preferences and payment method.
- Once your order is placed, the cost of the checks will be automatically deducted from your account when they ship.
Reordering Checks Through Digital Banking
Once your initial check order has been processed by the credit union, you can easily reorder checks online.
Steps to Reorder Online:
- Log in to your Members 1st Online Banking account.
- Select Check Ordering from the main menu.
- Select the account you want to order checks for.
- Choose your preferred check style and quantity.
- Review and confirm your personal information (name, address, starting check number, etc.).
- Select your preferred shipping method.
- Submit your order.
- Your order will be processed, and the cost of the checks will be deducted from your account when they ship.
Steps to Reorder by Phone
If you prefer to order checks over the phone, you can call and request assistance. For security purposes, you will need to verify your identity using two forms of identification.
Before placing the order, a representative will confirm:
- Your account details.
- Your current address and phone number (updates can be made if necessary).
- Your preferred check style and quantity.
- Your shipping and payment preferences.
Shipping & Order Options
- When ordering checks, you will have multiple shipping options to choose from. The delivery timeframe will depend on the shipping method selected.
- For added security, if you do not have a locked mailbox or have concerns about mail theft, you can request to have your checks sent directly to a Members 1st branch for pickup (subject to approval by branch management).
- Check quantities can range from 30 to 90 checks per box depending on the check style and your preferences.
- Smaller quantities are available in 30 (singles) & 36 (duplicates) in traditional blue, traditional gold, and traditional green only.
- All checks can be ordered as singles or duplicates.
Free Checks for Certain Accounts
- HELOC and Money Market accounts include free checks, which can be ordered using the instructions above.
- Primetime accountholders receive one free box of traditional blue checks per year. This legacy account type is no longer available for new members.
Check Order Issues & Reprints
If there is an error in your check order, Members 1st Credit Union provides reprints at no charge (regardless of who made the mistake), and if reported within 90 days of the original order shipping.
